Our study on the changes of the mean slope across the islands Andros, Tinos, Myconos and Naxos in Aegean Sea proved that there is a continuous decrease of the mean slope Northwards and Southwards from the central area of the studied section. The above fact must be due to movements of the crust, giving rise to a doming, because the other possible factors are uniform in the above islands. Mounting of magma and plate tectonics are discussed as probable causes of the above doming.
Μελετάται η μεταβολή της μέσης κλίσεως αναγλύφου στα νησιά Άνδρο, Τήνο, Μύκονο και Νάξο. Διαπιστώνεται προοδευτική μείωση της κλίσεως αυτής προς Βορρά και Νότο, φαινόμενο το οποίο πρέπει να οφείλεται στις κινήσεις του φλοιού υπό μορφή αναθλώσεως. Ως πιθανά αίτια εξετάζονται η άνοδος μαγματικού υλικού και η διεργασία της κινήσεως των πλακών Αφρικανικής, Αιγαίας και Ευρωπαϊκής μεταξύ τους.
