Study which refers to the various infiltrations of asphalt which indicate the existence of oil layers, in the area between Polylofo and Drogopsa, at a distomce of 28 km west from Ioannina. The stratigraphy of the area as well its tectonic structure are examined. Its the area of Dragopsa-Ioannina are discerned three stages (the lowest , the medial and the higher stage) of layers which are known with the name Flysch.
From the research was ascertained that Epiruw Flysch and Albania's too encompass and earlier tertiary emplacements. As regards the tectonic part of Epirus it is proved that Epirus at the intertidal zone consists of vivid foldings and its interior consists of inclinations.
In addition the exchange of psammitic and psammite-warly layers but also the favourable tectonic structure, constitute the prerequisites for the aggregation of oil.
Μελέτη των διαφόρων διαποτίσεων ασφάλτου, οι οποίες προδίδουν την ύπαρξη πετρελαιοφόρων στρωμάτων, στην περιοχή μεταξύ Πολυλόφου και Δραγοψάς, σε απόσταση 28 km δυτικά των Ιωαννίνων.
Μελετάται η στρωματογραφία της περιοχής καθώς και η τεκτονική δομή της. ΄Οσον αφορά το τεκτονικό μέρος της Ηπείρου, αποδεικνύεται ότι η ΄Ηπειρος στην παράκτια ζώνη αποτελείται από έντονες πτυχώσεις, στο δε εσωτερικό της από κεκλιμένες.
Επίσης η εναλλαγή ψαμμιτικών και ψαμμιτομαργαϊκών στρωμάτων, αλλά και η ευνοϊκή τεκτονική δομή, αποτελούν τις προϋποθέσεις για την συσσώρευση πετρελαίου.
