There are presented and studied also fossil representative insects, which were found into late tertiary lacustrine layers of the basin of Kimi (Euboea island). Four representatives are described. The aforementioned belong to the species Halictus, Geotrupes, Cholcopteryx and to the new species Pentheria Marinosi. Into the aforementioned layers scarcely are found fossils of insects and the few that have been found are in bad condition. The same happens and in other places of the Greek area.
Παρουσιάζονται και μελετώνται απολιθωμένοι αντιπρόσωποι εντόμων, οι οποίοι βρέθηκαν εντός των νεοτριτογενών λιμναίων στρωμάτων της λεκάνης της Κύμης (νήσος Εύβοια). Περιγράφονται 4 αντιπρόσωποι που ανήκουν στα γένη Halictus, Geotrupes, Cholcopteryx και το νέο είδος Pentheria Marinosi. Εντός των ρηθέντων στρωμάτων, σπανίως βρίσκονται απολιθώματα εντόμων και τα λίγα τα οποία έχουν βρεθεί είναι σε κακή κατάσταση. Το ίδιο συμβαίνει και σε άλλες περιοχές του Ελληνικού χώρου.
