The present speech deals with the oil deposits and natura; gases. Some developments that were reported, during the last years, in the theories, in reference to the creation of the aforementioned combustibles, which have huge financial and political importance it is aimed to be presented. Finally, the most possible consequences of these developments are outlined and one brief report on the researches for hydrocarbons in the greek area is made

Επιχειρείται να δειχθούν ορισμένες εξελίξεις που σημειώθηκαν κατά τα τελευταία έτη, στις θεωρίες αναφορικά με την γένεση των ως άνω καυσίμων τα οποία έχουν τεράστια οικονομική και πολιτική σημασία. Τέλος, σκιαγραφούνται οι πιθανότερες επιπτώσεις των εξελίξεων αυτών και γίνεται μια σύντομη αναφορά στις έρευνες για υδρογονάνθρακες στον ελληνικό χώρο
