This study is referred to the problem of kinking and branching of a ductile crack constitutes one of the most popular problems in linear elastic fracture mechanics, whose complete understanding of the causes and the mechanisms of its development still resists a satisfactory clarification and solution. The main reason for this difficulty is the fact that the problem lies on the border line between micromechanics and continuum mechanics, needing information for both sides of confrontation, which should be in congruency, thus contributing one another explanation of this complicated phenomenon
Στη μελέτη αυτή μελετάται ο τρόπος άμβλυνσης των αιχμών ρψγμών σε ρηγματωμένες πλάκες με τη χρησιμοποίηση γραφικών και πειραματικών μεθόδων. Οι συνθήκες φόρτισης των πλακών θεωρούνται σαν να είναι επίπεδης τάσης, με την παραδοχή ότι στο μέτωπο της ρωγμής επικρατούν συνθήκες διαρροής μικρής έκτασης. Το υλικό των πλακών θεωρείται ως ελαστικό, απόλυτα πλαστικό και πλαστικά ισοπαραμορφωμένο. Τέλος, θεωρούνται κεκλιμένες ακραίες ρωγμές με διαφορετικές γωνίες κλίσης οι οποίες δημιουργούν εντατικές καταστάσεις μικτού τύπου.
