Various locations which were suggested for the establishment of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Athens, dedicated to the umpteen victims and heroes of the recent wars,have been reported. Finally, as the most appropriate position was reported the piny slope in the west side of the Acropolis and exactly the bend, from the theatre of Herod's the Attic, at the entrance of the Acropolis.
Αναφέρονται οι διάφορες τοποθεσίες οι οποίες προτείνοντο για την ίδρυση του Μνημείου του Άγνωστου Στρατιώτη στην Αθήνα, αφιερωμένου στη μνήμη των άπειρων θυμάτων και ηρώων των τελευταίων πολέμων. Τέλος, ως η πλέον κατάλληλη θέση αναφέρθηκε η πευκόφυτη δυτική πλευρά της Ακρόπολης και ακριβώς η καμπή, από το θέατρο του Ηρώδου, στην είσοδο της Ακρόπολης.
