The geographic orientation system of ancient monuments in Athens is being studied and the contribution of an earthquake that occured in a past unknown period in the geographic position of the monuments. It is supposed that the orientation of the monuments is made accordingly to the local conditions.
The first axis of every monument is directed towards a specific point of the horizon.
Μελετάται το σύστημα γεωγραφικού προσανατολισμού των αρχαίων μνημείων των Αθηνών και η συμβολή ενός σεισμού, που συνέβη σε παλαιότερα άγνωστη εποχή, στη γεωγραφική θέση των μνημείων.
Πιθανολογείται ότι ο προσανατολισμός των μνημείων γινόταν μεν σύμφωνα με τις τοπικές συνθήκες ο πρωτεύον όμως άξονας κάθε μνημείου κατευθυνόταν προς συγκεκριμένο σημείο του ορίζοντα.
