In the present announcement is reported a disease of unknown nature, which was certified in the year 1934 and effected major disasters to the bees, during the summer of this particular year. The researches which were held for the study of the disease took place in co-operation with the General Supervisor of Apiculture of the Ministry of Agriculture, Mr.George Toufexis. The in question researches were expanded and to the implentation of a preventive vaccination against the disease (which in similar to the diarrhoea of bees) through dead bacteriums which are mixed in the feed of bees in the beehive. On the basis of the studies laid the bases for the fighting of the bees' diseases.
Αναφορά σε νόσο αγνώστου φύσεως η οποία πιστοποιήθηκε το έτος 1934 και επέφερε μεγάλες καταστροφές στις μέλισσες κατά την άνοιξη και το καλοκαίρι του συγκεκριμένου έτους. Οι έρευνες που διεξήχθησαν για την μελέτη της νόσου έγιναν σε συνεργασία με τον Γενικό επόπτη μελισσοκομίας του Υπουργίου Γεωργίας, κ.Γεωρ.Τουφεξή. Οι εν λόγω έρευνες επεκτάθηκαν και στην εφαρμογή προφυλακτικού εμβολιασμού κατά της νόσου (η οποία είναι όμοια με την διάρροια των μελισσών) μέσω νεκρών μικροβίων τα οποία αναμιγνύονται στην τροφή των μελισσών μέσα στην κυψέλη. Βάσει των μελετών τέθηκαν και οι βάσεις για την καταπολέμηση των νόσων των μελισσών.
