It is studied in detail the distribution of nicotine in the various organs of the tobacco-plant and in particular its alkaloid in the leaves of the plant. For the requirements of the present study, were carried out experiments on pure or almost pure ranges, where were chosen the healthy and normal developed plants, and was ascertained that the nicotine in leaves presents great variations, accordingly with the position they take up at the stem of the plant. Specifically, it was observed an increase in nicotine's content in the bottom leaves of tobacco, which is decreased upwards. Finally, there were studied early and late plants, where arose that in the early nicotine is constantly increased from the bottom to the top of tobacco, while in the late nicotine is increased from the top leaves to the bottom.
Μελετάται λεπτομερώς η κατανομή της νικοτίνης στα διάφορα όργανα του καπνόφυτου και ιδιαιτέρως του αλκαλοειδούς αυτού στα φύλλα του φυτού. Για τις ανάγκες της παρούσης εργασίας διεξήχθησαν πειράματα σε καθαρές ή σχεδόν καθαρές σειρές, όπου προτιμήθηκαν τα υγιή και κανονικά ανεπτυγμένα φυτά όπου διαπιστώθηκε ότι η νικοτίνη στα φύλλα παρουσιάζει μεγάλες διακυμάνσεις, ανάλογα με την θέση την οποία καταλαμβάνουν στο στέλεχος του φυτού. Συγκεκριμένα, παρατηρήθηκε αύξηση της περιεκτικότητας σε νικοτίνη στα κάτω φύλλα του καπνού η οποία ελαττώνεται προς τα πάνω. Τέλος μελετήθηκαν πρώιμα και όψιμα φυτά όπου προέκυψε ότι στα πρώιμα η νικοτίνη αυξάνει συνεχώς από τα κάτω προς τα πάνω φύλλα του καπνού ενώ αντιθέτως στα όψιμα η νικοτίνη αυξάνεται από τα πάνω φύλλα προς τα κάτω.
