Report on the contribution of the ancient Greek geographer, Poseidonios, to the discovery of America, thanks to a mistake on the calculations he had made. In particular, he had falsely calculated the length of the arc of Rhodes-Alexandria, fact which had as a consequence the false estimation of the diameter of the Earth by Ptolemy.
Αναφορά στη συμβολή του αρχαίου Έλληνα γεωγράφου Ποσειδώνιου στην ανακάλυψη της Αμερικής, χάρις σε ένα λάθος υπολογισμό που είχε κάνει. Συγκεκριμένα υπολόγισε λανθασμένα το μήκος του τόξου Ρόδου-Αλεξάνδρειας, πράγμα που είχε σαν συνέπεια την λανθασμένη εκίμηση της διαμέρτου της γης από τον Πτολεμαίο.
