The sea waves of the Ionian sea are studied as regards the elevation and in connection with the wind. It is underlined that from all the characteristics elements of the waves, the elevation has the greatest importance because it is seriously considered to the construction of harbour works. Finally, it is stressed that the strong local winds of Greece's coasts are very dangerous for the navigation.
Μελετώνται τα θαλάσσια κύματα του Ιονίου από πλευράς ύψους και σε συνάρτηση με τον άνεμο. Επισημαίνεται ότι από όλα τα χαρακτηριστικά στοιχεία των κυμάτων, το ύψος έχει μεγίστη σημασία διότι λαμβάνεται σοβαρώς υπόψη για την κατασκευή λιμενικών έργων. Τονίζεται ότι οι σφοδροί τοπικοί άνεμοι των ακτών της Ελλάδας είναι λίαν επικίνδυνοι για την ναυτιλία.
