    • There are some epidemiologiacal indications which justify the hypothesis that other insects besides anophetes i.e.bed bugs, culex e.t.c. might under unknown circumstances transmit the plasmodium of malaria through their blood sucking organs, the usual evolution of parasites in the stomach of the insect in this case is not necessary. Experiments in order to transmit malaria through freshly infected bed bugs on three volunteers were without any success. However, before excluding definitelly the possibility of this kind of malaria transmission more extensive and complete experiments are necessary.
