The article deals with the gradual downgrading of the environment and with the ''ecological awakening' that exists in our country, and which is in infantile stage. The issue of the protection of the environment is studied, as position of Policy and Culture in our country and abroad. Then the triptych of the greek environmental speculation: water - supply - pollution - tipping of waste in non-controlled areas, is registered and some ways for solving it are suggested. The data of quantitative and qualitative sizes are given, as regards the production and deposing of garbage in the basin. Afterwards, the laws that are included in the Greek and Common Market Law are cited, in relation with the protection of the environment. Finally, the possible places for the burial of garbage and the possible ecological consequences are reported.
Το άρθρο ασχολείται με την βαθμιαία υποβάθμιση του περιβάλλοντος και με την ΄΄οικολογική αφύπνιση΄΄ που υπάρχει στον τόπο μας και η οποία βρίσκεται σε νηπιακό στάδιο. Μελετάται το ζήτημα της προστασίας του περιβάλλοντος ως θέση Πολιτικής και Πολιτισμού, στη χώρα μας και στο εξωτερικό, καταγράφεται το τρίπτυχο του ελληνικού περιβαλλοντικού προβληματισμού, ύδρευση - ρύπανση - απόρριψη αποβλήτων σε μη ελεγχόμενους χώρους και προτείνονται τρόποι επίλυσης, δίνονται τα δεδομένα ποσοτικών και ποιοτικών μεγεθών όσον αφορά την παραγωγή και απόθεση σκουπιδιών στο λεκανοπέδιο, παρατίθενται οι κύριοι νόμοι που υπάρχουν στο Ελληνικό και Κοινοτικό Δίκαιο, σε σχέση με την προστασία του περιβάλλοντος και τέλος αναφέρονται πιθανοί χώροι ταφής απορριμάτων και οι πιθανές οικολογικές επιπτώσεις.
