By electrophoresis at pH 9.I and pH 6.5 using strips of acetatcellulose and Cellogel we could prove the Heterogenity of the Hemoglobin of the "Protopterus aethiopicus". Eight to nine components could be detected. None of these components are moving anodicaly at pH 6.5. The Absorption Maxima of the buffered Oxy Hemoglobin solutions were determined at 575, 540, 416, 345 and 278 mμ, which values are very similar to the Hemoglobin of Myxine glutinosa.
