This announcement concerns the study and the comparison of the chronicle of Ottoman sultans, with other sources. From the aforementioned arose that the text is unknown, too interesting form historical as well as lingual point of view. The chronicle of the Ottoman sultans was discovered by Sp. Lambros in Vatican and describes the lives of the sultans from 1373 to 1512. From a comparative study with other sources came out that the text was written by a low educated Greek, who lived in an area of Venetian influence. The manuscript is written in superficial popular language but the content is rather accurate and coincides with the narration of other sources.
Το χρονικό των Οθωμανών σουλτάνων βρέθηκε στο Βατικανό από τον Σπ. Λάμπρο και πραγματεύεται τις βασιλείες των σουλτάνων από το 1373-1512. Από τη συγκριτική μελέτη προκύπτει ότι έχει γραφεί από άγνωστο Έλληνα, χαμηλής μόρφωσης, που ζούσε σε περιοχή ενετικής επιρροής. Το περιεχόμενο έχει γραφεί σε αφελή δημοτική γλώσσα, τα γεγονότα όμως περιγράφονται με αρκετή ακρίβεια.
