The ground temperature is studied in an agricultural country like Greece. Observations of this parameter are made at 0800, 1400 and 2000 hr LST, three times a day, since 1911, at the National Observatory of Athens, on the surface of the ground and in cups at various depths in the garden of the Observatory. For this study were taken the observations concerning the ground temperature for a fifteen-year period (1911-1925). It is studied the annual variation of the ground temperature on the surface of bare and verdant ground, as well as the annual variation at the ground temperature in cups at 4 depths i.e. 0.30, 0.60, 0.90 and 1.20m.
Μελετάται η θερμοκρασία του εδάφους σε μία χώρα γεωργική, όπως είναι η Ελλάδα. Η μέτρηση γίνεται ανελλιπώς από το Αστεροσκοπείο Αθηνών, τρεις φορές την ημέρα από το 1911 και στην επιφάνεια του εδάφους, και διάφορα βάθη, εντός του κήπου του Αστεροσκοπείου. Για τη μελέτη αυτή, λήφθηκαν οι παρατηρήσεις της θερμοκρασίας του εδάφους μιας δεκαπενταετίας (1911-1925) . Μελετάται η ετήσια πορεία της θερμοκρασίας στην επιφάνεια γυμνού και χλοερού εδάφους, καθώς και η ετήσια πορεία της σε βάθη 0.30, 0.60, 0.90 και 1.20m.
