The study concerns the progress that was made towards the unification of the nations in Europe, the course towards Maastricht's treaty and its ratification as well the worries that exist because the inadequate information and the significance of these events to the greek nation. In particular, there are examined two deviating conceptions that prevail; the one is the monetary and economical cohesion that E.U. will follow and the second is the cultural tradition and the participation of the greek element to the venture of E.U.
Μελετάται η πρόοδος που πραγματοποιήθηκε αναφορικά με την ενοποίηση των λαών στην Ευρώπη, η πορεία προς την Συνθήκη του Μάαστριχτ και η επικύρωσή της καθώς και οι ανησυχίες που υπάρχουν εξαιτίας της ανεπαρκούς ενημέρωσης για την σημασία των γεγονότων αυτών. Εξετάζονται ειδικότερα οι δύο αποκλίνουσες αντιλήψεις που κυριαρχούν, η νομισματική και οικονομική συνοχή που θα επακολουθήσει, η πολιτική συμμετοχή, η πολιτισμική παράδοση και η συμμετοχή του ελληνικού στοιχείου στο εγχείρημα της Ε.Ε.
