At the present essay is studied the outbreak of noxious insects for the agriculture, during the year 1943. The cause of the phenomenon might be considered the comperative genial and dry winter of 1942-43 and the comperative rainy autumn. The upper contentions are confirmed by the comparison of the meteorological data (of the average temperature, air, and air's altitude) - which are taken from the Meteorological Institute of National Observatory of Athens- for the before-mentioned year. Afterwards, are reported observations, (which were held at several areas of Athens) on insects' reverberations to the cultivations, as well as the diseases that affected them.
Μελετώνται οι εμφανίσεις των βλαβερών για την γεωργία εντόμων κατά το έτος 1943. Σαν αιτία του φαινομένου μπορεί να θεωρηθεί ο σχετικά ήπιος και ξηρός χειμώνας 1942-43 και η σχετικά βροχερή άνοιξη. Επιβεβαίωση αυτών των αριθμών γίνεται από την σύγκριση μετεωρολογικών δεδομένων (μέσες θερμοκρασίες αέρος και ύψους αυτού) του Μετεωρολογικού Ινστιτούτου Εθνικού Αστεροσκοπείου Αθηνών, των υπό θεώρηση εποχών με αντίστοιχες παλαιοτέρων ετών. Στην συνέχεια αναφέρονται και οι παρατηρήσεις που έγιναν σε διάφορες περιοχές των Αθηνών γα τις επιπτώσεις των εντόμων σε καλλιέργειες και των ασθενειών που προσέβαλαν αυτές.
